We are a bunch of people who gather once a week in SE Austin to indulge in the game we all admire so. Our game is a no limit game and has a $20 buy-in. It is a re-buy tournament with an optional add-on at the one hour mark when we take our first break. After the first hour if you run out of chips, well there is always the next game!
Our games start at 8:30 and usually last up to four hours depending on the number of players and the style of those players. We play for around 13 weeks and at the end of which we have a Final Table Round, or FTR as we call it, where all players meeting a criteria of a set number of points are invited to.
Now don't worry, there are several ways to get points. Of course you get points just for playing every week but you also get additional points for bringing new players into the league, showing up 15 minutes early AND submitting an RSVP in advance (This helps out IMMENSELY in the preparations of a poker game!) and also there are performance based points depending on how well you place each week.
